Lisa Sawyer + Vicky Thurston –Directors + Head Coaches
Both Lisa and Vicky have been cheering for over 20 years. In the summer of 2013 a decision was made to create their own team, a dream which they had both had for a long time. Both have a strong passion for the sport which they are keen to pass on to other athletes. They are both NCSSE qualified, USASF Levels 1 and 2 and BGU Level 3 as well as First Aid trained.
Nicola Goose
Nicola became part of the East Elite family during our first season. She took on the role of Senior captain in season 2 and did an excellent job in leading the team and was always there to help fellow team mates. Nicola is BGU Level 1 and 2 qualified and First Aid trained.
Hannah Pike
Hannah joined East Elite in Season 2 and has many years’ experience in Allstar and University Cheer. She is very passionate about cheer and enjoys sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience with our athletes. Hannah is BGU Level 1 and 2 qualified and first aid trained.
Tylar Hughes
Tylar became part of the East Elite family in Season 3 and has thoroughly enjoyed coaching for the last 2 seasons. Tylar is a great role model for our younger athletes and is looking forward to continuing coaching this season. Tylar is BGU Level 1 and 2 qualified and first aid trained.
Rio Edey
Rio joined East Elite when the team was first established and thrived during her first season as Junior Captain. It was clear that many of the younger athletes looked up to Rio. Her dedication and commitment to helping others was evident from the start. Rio is BGU Level 1 and 2 qualified and First Aid trained.
Lauren Sims
Lauren has been involved in cheerleading for many years and was on East Elite’s first ever competitive group stunt team. She is passionate about cheer and is excited to begin her first season coaching with us.
Linzi Durham
Linzi cheered for her university team for 3 years and continued with Allstar cheer after graduating. She has over 11 years dance experience and is very excited to begin coaching with East Elite for the 2019/20 season.
Paige Needs
Paige has been cheering since she was 13 years old and has always found it so enjoyable. She joined East Elite in 2017 and is looking forward to her first season coaching with us
Erin Lawson
Erin has been part of East Elite for a number of years and has always wanted to help other athletes. She is a fantastic athlete and a great role model. She began coaching for East Elite in the 2017/18 season and has been a real asset to our coaching staff. Erin is BGU Junior Coach trained.
Tegan Hughes
Tegan joined East Elite a number of years ago as an athlete with an excellent work ethic and passion for cheer. She is a great role model and thrives when coaching our younger athletes. She has thoroughly enjoyed coaching our Youth team last season and is looking for to a new challenge this season. Tegan is first aid trained.
Frankie Caruso
Frankie has been with East Elite since 2014 and is one the most dedicated and enthusiast athletes that we have the pleasure of having with us. Frankie is very excited to begin coaching this season with us.
